We are extremely lucky to have two very accomplished sponsored riders and a team of awesome Brand Ambassadors! Please take a look below to find out more about them.
Our first sponsored rider is the very talented Carol Mercer. Carol specialises in the starting, training and rehabilitation of horses and ponies and can regularly be seen competing around Surrey. She is based near Guildford, Surrey and we are really excited to have her on board and will be regularly updating Carols adventures on Facebook
And our second thrilling sponsored rider is Amy Maris!
A little bit about Amy:
I’m a 19yr old aspiring dressage rider based in Surrey. I have Cystic Fibrosis, which is a serious lung condition that affects the amount of air I can breathe in due to my lungs producing thick mucus. I don’t let this stop me from riding, or from achieving my goals, but I also try to inspire others with similar conditions to follow their dreams. I had been
with Monty (Mastermind), my previous trainers PSG dressage gelding for 18 months. He took me from doing unaffiliated prelim on my first 14.1hh pony, to competing successfully at elementary, doing flying changes, canter half passes, etc. ‘Monty’ was the Canadian young rider champion in 2007, winning three golds and 1 bronze.
We had amazing success together in our competitions, including winning 6 competitions straight out with our scores being 70%. We then came 6th with our personal best score of 71.64% at our first summer regional in the Elementary in a class full of professionals last August, and the next day I went into hospital. I then received a call from BD saying that we had been given a wild card to the National Dressage Championships!
I have now a talented and up and coming 16.3hh 6yrs mare by United x Negro called Frouwke, aka Flora. I went to Holland with Rebecca Hughes to find my next horse and that¹s when I found my next superstar. Her character, lightness in the hand and temperament really grabbed me and I instantly clicked with her and her paces are impressive and her canter is spectacular. When Flora arrived, she was quite nervous, but now she’s really become so much more confident and has really begun to show her true talent. She has so far won all of her competitions, with getting 72% in her first Novice test!
I hope to qualify Flora for the Summer Regionals at Novice and then to take her up to Grand Prix. Flora and I have worked incredibly hard together, forming a secure partnership over the last 7 months, whilst trying to juggle A2 exams, University and my cystic fibrosis. We have also joined BRYDS and have been selected for the BYRDS B squad, and are looking forward to competing for the Southern team, while having training from BD coach and List 2 judge Leanne Wall. For me, being around horses and being able to ride and compete, really allows me to live a normal life whilst having Cystic Fibrosis. I am studying Equine Business at Hartpury College and my long term goal is to be the first rider with cystic fibrosis to go the Olympics and to represent GB in dressage.

Please like both my sponsored riders pages as they are both incredibly hard working and some support really goes a long way!
We also have the following amazing Brand Ambassadors
Lucy Hamblett DipWCF
Lucy is a farrier based in south Wales. Lucy has recently won at the BRC National Novice Championships 2016 with her gorgeous cob “Coblet”.
Here is a little more about Lucy and her horses:
Laura says: “Meet Absolutely Harvey. 14.2 heavy weight aspiring dressage cob! I have owned Harvey since he was 3 years old. I have backed and produced him myself with the help of some amazing friends and trainers. I really could not have done it and continue to do so without them! We are based in South Yorkshire and currently train with Gill Liggins.
I am matchy mad ! We can be seen supporting various colours our favourite is Eskadron.
Harvey loves anything to do with food and escaping ! Favourite past time kicking the stable door, farting ! And sleeping. He LOVES jumping and his best friend is an ex point to pointer turned dressage super star named Blue!
Favourite treats and food -anything ! Seriously he is so greedy I have to be so so careful with his diet especially in summer.
Favourite thing to do- eat! Followed by sleeping and running around his field with Blue.”
He has his own Facebook page:
We are really looking forwards to working with Laura (and Harvey!!).
Jodi is a qualified BHSAI who works for Horse & Hound on their Equo Events team. In between she manages to find time to ride and compete her two horses.
“I am currently competing at unaffiliated dressage on a grey 20 year old, semi-retired ex international showjumper who has never done dressage before! I have borrowed her from a good friend of mine who wanted her ex superstar showjumper to carry on having a fun life in her retirement rather than being put out to pasture which she didn’t take to at all. We started competing late last year and have brought home rosettes on every outing so far. Maggie is a very talented mare however having never done dressage before is rather enthusiastic and likes to guess what we are doing before I ask her. We’ve just registered BD MyQuest and bring back ribbons every time out! Not bad for a show jumper that’s NEVER done dressage before!
My orange pony George is an American QH cross and my equine soulmate. We have lots of fun hacking and are hoping to have a go at SJ and ODE’s this year now he has come back into work from a long period off due to injury.”
We are delighted that Jodi came forward to be one of our Brand Ambassadors!
